Straight out of Berkley, California, comes the kings of the pop punk movement. Green Day first burst out of the unknown "underground" punk band movement in 1994 with the release of "Dookie". Their multi-platinum release with Reprise records, (The band had previously been with Lookout records). After air time on MTV with their debut single "Longview", Green Day seemed to virtually take-off. In 1995 they followed with the release of "Insomniac", and then "Nimrod" in 1997. Neither one of these albums (though still incredible!!) were smash hits like "Dookie" was. Green Day's new release entitled "Warning" will be released October 3rd of this year!! They are now on tour traveling on the Vans Warped Tour.
